Mother's Day

Inspiring Children To Write

It's always a blessing to read poetry that someone else has created.  However, when children find an opportunity to take time out of their busy schedule to remember a day that has been designated for mothers and write in the remembrance as what this means to them.  It is truly wonderful.  Below  is a 12 year old who has decided to start writing and it is my pleasure to post one of her first poems on this Blog.

If you know any kids that would like to share their poetry I would love to display their work on this blog please contact me at: dave@poetrynews.info

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a gift from God for all the

Mothers who gave birth to his children.

Mother’s Day is the day for the children to

thank their mother for all the love and

support they gave them.

Mother’s Day is the day for mothers to rest

and have peace.  Mother’s Day is the day for

mothers to get off their feet.  Mother’s Day is

for mothers to sit back and relax.  Mother’s Day

is for all the fathers to do what the mothers do.

Mother’s Day; boy do I love Mother’s Day.
